I'm surprised so many people are likening deep chord to Basic Channel,
being that basic channel is mostly on ther techno and ambient tip, I
would say the similarities are closer to that of Maurizio, although all
of the deep chord tracks are different whereas Maurizio are variations on
the same programming.
I would liken BC to Vladislav Delay, LLuome, and some of the atmnospheric
house out of berlin and koln before I would drop the BC reference. It
seems almost cliche to me especially since BC sparked the clicky gritty
movement along with chain reaction...Bu tbeing that BC releases their
last record almost seven years ago...well it doesn't lead me to believe
that xlr8r really has their eyes on the big picture of new house.
