Perhaps Amber is for the less sophisticated of us out there. I too was wowed by every ae album except Amber (and of course the horrifically unimpressive Basscadet). I think Tri Repetae++ is without a doubt their most fluid album, and the one everyone should have in their collection, but I think the latter three, Chiastic, LP5, and EP7 are much more interesting, and Confield should top them all.
