Because Detroit clubs don't book them? Because no one there sees it as being even a break in proposition? I'm not in Detroit, so I can't speculate. Luke Vibert doesn't set up tours by throwing darts at a map of the United States -- someone at Ninjatune Canada has to contact venues, get deposits, line up plane tickets, set up promotion, yadda yadda... I WOULD book Wagonchrist, and I've contacted Ninjatune about getting dates from their artists, and I never heard about this tour. Not to whine too much but HEY JEFF I'M SERIOUS HERE ;-) If you really want to book people like this, you'll have to do it yourself. It's not that complicated -- it's just not that easy. You can lose money and get involved in insane logistical snafus, and end up dealing with player haters all the live long day.
