blasphemer, cast the heretic out...
waveform 2 is a great piece of techno. i
think it still holds up, it's fun to play,
and actually really complex if you're mixing it.
like duh, of course it's 808's and 303's,
its detroit acid tracks, not idm pop songs.
but listen to 'liquification' or 'chrome',
not the standard acid track at all.
internal empire is the best imho,
though I keep reading good things about
nighttime world v.2, but can't find a
copy anywhere. some of his mplant
releases are great, but for me it's dodgy.
---------------------------------------------
Transmissions 2 is really that good at all. In fact I
think it kinda sucks - just lame 909 thumps and
uninteresting short sequences along with standard
filtering etc... very generic. Not to mention that
it's produced poorly...
but the robert hood lp on tresor ('infernal empire' i
think) is quite excellent... Not as generic as WT2,
in fact not generic at all really. Pretty mean, but
still strange.
