Gave it a second listen and I have to say I agree with you guys. However, just for a lark I thought I'd present some things I liked about it. I honestly didn't hate the filter he used on the melody itself; it was an idea I liked, especially the way it changed the rhythmic pattern of the line. I enjoyed the lead up to the first "drop", especially the way he brought in the deeper bass to support the melody and give it a little oomph. Really, I think it's the overuse of the generic trap/edm tropes that killed this remix for me. It's just too out of place; it feels wrong somehow. I think if HudMo had shown his more experimental side instead of taking the easy route here, it might have been a project with some promise.
