freescha are 2 american peeps who make wonderful dark music. often hip
hop-related beats, with dark basslines + beautiful & emotional melodies.
best compared to the boards (in the childlike/naive melodies/detuned sounds
kinda way) & not arovane (tides), although i think they have a very distinct
sound of their own. they do walk on common grounds with the boards in the
warmth of their melodies & the broken hip hop feel though...

500 copies. 3 tracks. their first ep. on this one the hip hop isn't that
present. one track i remember is bulb which is simply beautiful with the
vocoded singing in the end...
freescha-s/t-attacknine cd
500 copies(?). mini album. 6 tracks. very good. the hip hop-influence is
really coming forward here. plenty of lush melodies & we've got some shorter
tracks as well. they even included a lovely beatless piano track...
brilliant.
freescha-pequod-attacknine 12"
ltd to 250 copies, this is their 2nd ep. lush. even darker than their
previous material. haven't had many listens to this yet, since i just got it
a few weeks ago...
watch out for their first real album, kids fill the floor, which will be
released on attacknine in august on cd/2xlp! they've also done an ep for bad
jazz which should be out soon too! maybe it's been released already?
i can't recommend them enough! i suggest you pick up their cd, since it's
the most accessible & maybe the easiest to find. all of their releases are
lovely, so if i were you i'd get them all!
