Ok its 2 weeks till the official release of the 3rd Component release, so I figured its time to drop some info. This disc has been a long time in the making at we're quite excited about its imminent release! xyn - subdermal com-103 CD available 3/27/2001 "The alchemy occurs beneath the skin in the spaces which contain our codes and experience. " Component Records is proud to announce Subdermal, the upcoming debut full length CD by electronic recording artist Xyn. Subdermal represents the results of ongoing experimentation in Xynthetic Space with the fusion of techno, electro, acid, and drum'n'bass. Subdermal delivers a stylistically challenging collection of tracks which range from pure techno to electro-acid funk to Xyn's unique reinterpretation of drum'n'bass. This diverse collection of tracks is held together by Xyn's approach to production and intricate beats. Subdermal flows from one track to the next without bowing to the limitations of trendy and ephemeral categories. Xyn traces his history from the Metro-Detroit industrial scene of the late 80s through to the techno explosion of the early to mid 90s. Xyn's sound began developing in the close knit and dynamic techno community of Ann Arbor, MI, where he helped form Smart Records (an intelliNET label) and produced the Soil EP for Glue Records in 1997. The Soil EP was very well received, especially for being the second release on a brand new label by an unknown artist. Xyn has also been involved in remixing, having supplied mixes for Codec's 'Fragments' and LogiQ's 'Big on Mars'. Subdermal will be available through all the normal channels The Component Comp(Integral Components) is coming along quite excellent with most of the track back here at component HQ. The line-up includes : Dryft, ML, Pandorabox, Proem, Xyn, Syndrone, Neutronic, Lusine ICL, Neutral, Somatic Responses, Codec, and Phluidbox. Integral Components is going to be released in June(exact release date TBD)....there may also be a suprise or two on this one :) Rob ::::::Component Records::::::: Box 783, Somers, Ct 06071 www.componentrecords.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
