This will be hard to find since it was a limited selfdistribution but I'll
throw it out there for the sake of those who might actually stumble apon
it... "Those Pesky Bubbles" by Friendside Monkey, is possibly my favorite
'IDM Funk' albulm. It's (and I can't remember their names) two blokes from
Durham NC, one doing 808 style short attention span electro with a bit of a
Mouse on Mars feel, and a second playing the funky bass. Add to this the man
behind the sequencer scratching through some twisted effects. Great fun. It
has a track on it which my girlfriend has identified as (and I think I must
agree with her), "soundtrack to female masterbation." Anyway, check it out
if you can find it. They broke up a while back, but I'm curious if anyone
from NC can tell me if either fellow is still making music.
