It's also wrong because making copies of a CD for personal use is
protected under the fair use provision of US copyright law. It's very
anti-consumer of CD and DVD makers to control how we play the media
we bought. Writing to your reps in protest of the DMCA might help.
I'd be surprised if we could educate enough of the masses for an
effective boycott, but maybe the recording/movie industry will dig
its own hole. People are bound to draw the line somewhere...
That's enough off-topic ranting for now. I got a new Schematic
T-shirt from PJ today. It's nice.

See, this is just wrong. This stuff really bothers me because it's so
obviously based on greed. They're not even trying to hide this in terms of
intellectual property rights...flat-out greed.
