but after finding
the first 12" of Beta Bodega kinda dull, I've ignored following threads of
info.
But, this week I bought the Banana Republic 12" on Rice and Beans (Mainly
due to the General Magic w/ Potzunik track). Well, that track is
wonderful, and the rest are pretty interesting/enjoyable as well. Was
wondering if other recent Beta Bodega stuff is this interesting, or other
I BELIEVE YOU MIGHT FIND "needle/trnsmssn.0014" [betab bodega / bb6.5] to
your taste... a couple of the same artists from banana republic (sony mao
and phonem) along with frank metzger [oval], full swing, kim cascone, patcha
kutek, andreas berthling, 0ivind ids0 and others) collaborated (or perhaps
more appropriately, communicated, with needle for a full-length album. not a
comp, but rather artists working together in a variety of experimental
methods and styles (13 tracks) that form a most coherent 'narrative'.
