Bollocks! Sure vinyl doesn't get converted to digital but you pay for that in distortion. Well-mastered, fresh, unscratched vinyl is a joy to listen to on high-end sound gear. Unless your sound system cost in the order of tens of thousands, you won't pick the difference. Besides, you can't shove a bunch of vinyl in your bag and listen to it at work, can you :P Pleased to say I've never owned a record player in my life. (Unless you count the gramophone I bought in a market for $2 when I was a kid.) -- Rev Simon Rumble Current physical location: London, UK simon@rumble.net http://www.rumble.net The superior man understands what is right; the inferior man understands what will sell. -- Confucius --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
