there's no "one way" to make idm. some people make it using text-based
sequencers/fx, others modify waves and plop them together graphically using
wave editors. others actually play instruments (gasp!).
i'd recommend joining the idm-making list at egroups, where this sort of
discussion is much more prevalent, and you won't get harped on for talking
about music.
