...sometime within the next few years, one of our top idm musicians could put
out a "greatest hits" box set kind of thing? In my life experience, most
bands that release sets like that are the ones that I'd probably never listen
to anyway...so I don't own a single one. I'd love to have a box set that I
could cherish as much as reggae fans love their Bob Marley box sets. Who (if
anyone) do you think would be the most suited to release something
extraordinary like that (in the idm genre)? The only other interesting set
that I've seen lately was a Merzbow box set for a few hundred dollars with
like 20 CD's, tapes, unreleased shit, and tons of extra goodies. Not that
I'd ever spend that kind of money on pure white noise, but if one of my
favorites did it, I'm sure I'd find some cash. Just imagine what could be in
a $400 box of RDJ stuff. If anyone can do it, he definately could. Sorry
for such a random thought. It's just one of those nights.
