Hello all. Thought I'd introduce myself and aska few questions. So here I am. My names Ellen, and I've always had an interest in electronic. Used to collect somewhat avidly back in the early 90's although I'm sure I didn't spend nearly as much on music as some of you did, and still do. I've been wanting to get acquainted with IDM/Ambient again, and thought this would be the best place to start. 1. Are there any other women on this list? 2. The last purchases I made of music were 76:14, some Black Dog, and a friend gave me Boards of Canada's Music Has the Right To Children (which is an amazing piece of work). Hailing my foray back into electronic music, I went and bought Boards' In A Beutiful.... nice, although less involved. Before I buy any more music, I think it would be best if I actually knew what to buy. So here is where you all come in. What albums have come out in the past couple years that warrant imediate purchase? Are there any top ten lists that would give me a place to start? Oh, and I remember now. Bochum Welt's Feelings on A Screen was that other purchase I made way back...How's that guy doing? Well I'll end this ramble here. Thanks for any input you all may have.
