There are lots of good labels, many only release one or two things, so you just have to always be on the lookout. You can reference www.nubreaks.com for lots of audio samples and info on all the various artists and labels. for more of the deeper & darker side of nu skool, try Fuel Records. Tipper, Bargecharge and ILS are the main artists and all produce wicked bass-heavy breaks. www.tipper.co.uk Rennie Pilgrem's label: TCR is one of the best nu breaks labels around. Almost all their releases are solid and theyve had a lot of new artists sign on this year. www.tcr.uk.com Distinctive Breaks was responsible for the very popular "Y3K" series. They are a must for anyone who wants "nu skool". Various artists from Tsunami One and BLIM to Solid Ground and BT(!). www.distinctiverecords.com Bochit and Scarper (also known as Bochit Breaks) is one of the oldest nu breaks labels and still remains one of the highest quality. Artists like BLIM, FreQ Nasty, Aquasky, and Orange Kush are well respected in the breaks world because of their music. Especially BLIM who has a very electro-fused style with very clean and precise production. www.underclass.co.uk Whole Nine Yards is another. Darkglobe, Meat Katie, Hyper & Dylan Rhymes, Solid Ground and more. Overall they are more funky than dark, but still pump out some narly stuff via Hyper and Rhymes. www.w9y.co.uk Also check out Dorigen - they have a released a lot of remix EPs. Koma & Bones (TCR) frequently appear on the releases. Most recently they remixed Hardkiss' - Raincry classic choon... There's many more, but those are the biggies. Like I said, check NuBreaks (my shameless plug) for more info, web links and lots of audio. Also www.juno.co.uk is a great place to get all the new goods - I always buy from them...and Im even in the States.
