All the shops in London now seem to be calling this style 'Broken beats' or 'West London'!, whatever it is I would suggest checking some of these out. First off the excellent Italian 'Archive' label, lots of releases from 2000 Black/Reinforced artists (such as Seiji/Domu/Dego). Lots of the releases have a much more Techno edge than a lot of the 2000 Black records. There is an amazing Future Beat Alliance 12" which is well worth the money, also the new Future beat Alliance 12" on Delsin picks up where the Archive 12" left off. Visions Inc, run by Alex Attis (used to be half of Gilles Petterson favourites Bel Air Project), has 2 stunning releases under the monikers of Plutonia and Mustang, fast paced (if you have them on 45rpm!) latin tinged tracks than are nothing short of amazing. Because its 8.30 in the morning, I cant be bothered to write much more, so here is a quick run down of other recommendations: Main Squeeze : bit more laid back, more jazz than techno, run by IG Culture DBLow : little 7" label also run by IG Culture, again jazzy, almost live sounding outings.. People : Well worth checking out, had a compilation out recently which is a good place to start, which features new and old tracks, including a Ian O'brien number. compilation is called 'People make the world go round' Cooperation : collective of most of the labels I have mentioned already, so far only one excellent compilation release 'Volume 1' which includes Nu Era (aka 4Hero in techno mode). Laws of Motion : Phil Asher and friends doing lots of nice things Skindeep : Total Science' (metalheadz, CIA) side line in more downtempo, techno tinged numbers... Goya Music seem to be the main distributor of most of the labels I have mentioned so check them out at: http://www.goyamusic.com , (although it hurts me to recommended them) Vinyl junkies in London seem to stock lots of this kind of sound (http://www.vinyl-junkies.co.uk), and smallfish (http://www.smallfish.co.uk) also stock quite a bit. Twoplayer has discographies for several of these labels and is at http://www.twoplayer.co.uk 'nu acid jazz' ? right I hope some of that makes sense..
