i think it could be argued that maxima was sent around to 'real people',
instead of just their friends, and is likely what got them signed on the
skam label for "hi scores"

i agree, although i doubt they're going to do that. from the sound of it,
mike and marcus are very particular about the music they actually release,
which is why the back catalog seems so huge yet the available albums and
ep's are so sparse. they have a 5-album (not ep, album) contract to warp,
so we're going to hear more from them. i just hope some of it is the
really good old stuff, too.
