Requiem for a dream is excellent (I've seen it 2 days in a row now). Go see
it! It's by Darren Aronofsky, the director of "Pi", and it is one of the few
movies I've seen that matches slick inventive style with a good story and
acting (in the same way that seven did). Sure it's bleak, and horribly
depressing, but not brainless...
Anyways, my point in bringing this up is that Clint Mansell did the score
(he also did Pi's score) with strings by the Kronos Quartet (which kick
ass!).
Does Clint Mansell have any solo projects? He was a member of PWEI, so I
assume he hasn't been inactive since then... Also, I've always liked the
Kronos Quartet... But I've never know them to do anything 'electronic'. Are
there any releases that they appear on that are IDM-ish?
oh, and go to the website www.requiemforadream.com it is also awesome!
Thanks,
