They're anti-theft sensors and are visible with the clear jewelcases.
They're on the inside of the tray that actually holds the cd. They put them
inside so you can't just take the wrapper off to steal cds. The sales
associates are supposed to deactivate them before they go into your shopping
bag.. but sometimes they don't work according to plan.
