Hey! that's my opinion. And I'm entitled to it. Someone said that usually
Orbital is told to be bad because of the MTV appearences... I didn't see any
but I've listened to most of their stuff...it's commercial pop to my ears
(except one album) and I can do nothing about it. Maybe they like the music
they make but hey that does not necesserily mean that they do not try to
make it more acceptable for the masses... we both can prove wrong in this
case.
btw it is very professional electronic dance pop. it is far better than 99%
of pop electronica anyway. and I do not say that dance music is pop (Ae is
dance music as well as far as it has been resolved on this mailing list when
it was named "idm"). I say Orbital are making music for the masses which I
feel while listening to their music - especially in new album - that fact
makesd them crap to my ears in comparison to other groups in my audio
library. And, once more - In Sides is masterpiece.

Its rather presuptious to assume that the music that they make is not the
music that they enjoy and would want to make. I've loved most of
Orbital's output and just because its dance doesn't necessaruly mean
its pop crap.
