it seems that a big portion of what's talked about here is the clickety-clackety yada yada this and that type of idm. now i'm wondering- i know idm is experimental electronic listening music, "breaking boundaries" and everything, but is the clicky type of stuff (lexaunculpt, arovane, richard devine, the schematic label, ae, funkstorung, etc.) the more popular, "main stream" part of idm? is all this this stuff like the boy bands and the big name rappers and the mtv rock bands of the idm "underground"? Autechre= the N' Sync of idm?!?!?! Funkstorung= the Limp Bizkit of idm?!?!?!?! Richard Devine= the Dr. Dre of idm?!?!?!?! this is just a thought. don't take it seriously! i've only compared these idm artists/duos to these mainstream artists/bands based on the popularity it seems that they have here. now before a bunch of you guys start bitching and ranting about my comments and start givin' me b.s., there's no need to because i love all of the above stated idm groups i mentioned. this is just an observation, and all i want is your opinions, or what all you guys think about this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
