I used a friends MD recorder (~$300 sharp MDZ??? i forget, stereo omni mics,
great quality, but not enough options) but lost at least 3-6 dB of range
because i had to transfer the recordings from headphone out to line in on my
computer. word of advice, make sure you can make one to one copies to PC
(optical or usb) and or atleast have a line out.
