Just for clarity I'm not talking about any artist in particular right now. If the music was substantially different/reworked from a recording I own, that could be interesting. Many times I have seen someone "live" and the version they play is almost identical to the one I own. That's kind of disappointing. Then there is the issue of sound systems. Sometimes it's really good to hear something LOUD (with all the frequencies properly EQed). That is rarely the case when I go to mouse clicking events. I have seen Soul Oddity on a Shredder sound system and it blew my mind. Then I have seen them in a tiny space with mediocre sound. Massive difference! Although I don't think they did as a good of a performance at the smaller venue.

If someone has gear in front of them and they look like they are having fun it makes a big difference from someone who looks bored or is straining to read their laptop. Personally I would rather see an artist like Meat Beat Manifesto. Where they do perform. Or see a dj that mixes and does tricks, etc. ===== SWOPE TRANSMISSIONS - Listen on KUCI.org every FRIDAY Evening 6-9pm (Pacific) http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/swope-transmissions __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
