I would say that Echlin is the real deal. Check out the archives of the
Detroit MetroTimes (www.metrotimes.com) for other examples of his writing.
It is good to see him make it to the "big leagues" of the free-rags.
I've been familiar with his writing since the late 80's. He's lived
through the development of the genre in the city that started it...
Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Richie Hawtin, Mojo, etc.
I like his stuff. Do the research and you will see that he knows his shit.
