Thanks to the idm lurkers who came to the Hypnotica which featured our
synthesized heavy metal tunes. Someone asked if we'd used midi files or
transcribed it from scratch. Most of the tracks did have midi files out
there on the net, but I found that, in most cases, the bass, drums, and a
number of solos were either completely wrong or just skipped or
generalized in a relatively similar key. Most of the guitar solos had to
be rebuilt from scratch. If anyone is really concerned about this being
so, please listen to the Foxx tune on my website; it is 100% transcribed
off the record as there is not a stitch of entablature/midi/sheet music
online at all. This is difficult time-consuming work--not so casual as
running a few hip hop samples and 92 breakbeats thru the dsp woodchipper--
so, _no_, we could not have just downloaded the metal tunes near the state
we sequenced them--I'm glad there were some witnesses to our efforts and
alluring stage presence(s); thankssss for coming.
