I would respectfully like to disagree with you about Caipirinha. It
is certainly NOT a bad label. They do have their share of disappointing
releases but they also have some solid ones as well - Soundtrack, the
Deutscher Funk comps, the Microscopic Sound comp, Tetsu Inoue's
Waterloo Terminal, Si Begg's Commuter World, H.E.A.D., and the
two Unit releases as well. I've also heard good things about the
Datach'i and Caipirissima comp though i've not heard them myself.
However I cant disagree with you about about Iara Lee. The
stories i've heard about her from caipirinha artists & NYC
scenesters have been far from flattering but I dont let the
actions of one detract from the musical enjoyment I get from
Caipirinha releases.
