The amount of quality music that only comes out on
Vinyl is too high to not have a turntable! Cds suck
for djing, I know there are some decent cd players
that you can mix with...but it's not the same.
With regards to John B, he was pursuing a career in
academia (a graduate in Cellular Biology). After
being seduced by music and clubbing, he became a drum
n bass producer instead.
He definitely a pretty brilliant producer. His first
lp Visions is excellent!! A must have!!
His follow up album "Catalyst" ventured into some
different territory, some of it I don't care for very
much. He has many releases on Formation, New
Identity, Shoebox, and his own label Beta.
Check out some of his material, especially the tune
"Pressure".
