Rom=Pari is a Japanese production duo, Tatsuya Yoshida and Eiji
Yoshida. They got their start doing remixes for Audio Active from
there getting noticed by Sub Rosa who released their debut album,
along with Beat records in Japan, entitled View. Rom=Pari list
their influences as Autechre, Aphex Twin, William Burroughs, Fear
Factory, the Yakuza, Audio Active, Kabukicho, Bill Laswell, Stanley
Kubrick, Otomo Yoshihide, great Tokyo ramen bars, king's X, Squarepusher,
Alexandro Jadorowsky, This Heat, David Shea, Mick Harris, WhiteHouse,
Scorn, and John Zorn but the style of their music is more of a dark manic
d&b/gabber/electronica akin to that of Bisk, Kid-606, Datach'i, Lesser,
Phthalocyanine, and even Farmers Manual. As far as I know, their View
cd is their only release but they have had a handful of remix & comp
