About loosing the vocals.. it doesn't help that they are mixed WAY too
low. (kool keith would have something to say about that) It's just a
little painfully obvious that it's Funkstorung creating tracks, then
bringing rappers in for studio sessions to do vocals.
Somebody pointed out Blackaliscious as some good recent hip-hop, and in
sections the instrumentation/loops and sequencing is very
contemporary with electronic music. Same goes for anti-pop consortium..
