Here's what I've been listening to mostly. Sorry, I couldn't limit myself to five :) Boulderdash - We Never Went To Koxut Island (RUC) Lackluster - Container (Focus) Shuttle358 - optimal.lp (12k) Arovane - Tides (City Centre Offices) Opiate - Objects For An Ideal Home (April) Neina - Formed Verse (Mille Plateaux) Mum - Yesterday Was Dramatic - Today Is Okay (tmt) Savath+Savalas - Folk Songs For Trains, Trees and Honey (Hefty) Various Artists - GRANITCD001 (RUC) Theorem - MP3s from http://www.m_nus.com and http://th.m_nus.com (m_nus) Special mention goes to: Vladislav Delay - Multila (Chain Reaction) / Entain (Mile Plateaux) - I can't get enough of Vladislav Delay, I've been listening to those for months. I LOVE Boulderdash! It arrived in the mail a couple of days ago after a few weeks waiting for it to arrive from boxman.co.uk (I was just gonna phone and complain too) and it was so worth the wait. Totally amazing, beautiful album. My favourite of the year, and my bet is it probably still will be after the year has ended. I totally recommend the Lackluster release too, and the Shuttle 358 if you can find it. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy in Rough Trade in Covent Garden. The Theorem mp3s are well worth downloading. Tthere is a different selection at Theorem's own site (http://th.m_nus.com) and the m_nus site (http://www.m_nus.com). There's well over an hour of music there - though a couple of the tracks are on Ion (watch out cos the names are different) - but most are unrealeased and of the same quality and style of that album. Really nice stuff, especially for free.
