I've sold stuff both ways, and when it comes to items like, say, Skam rarities (which I haven't sold myself, but just as a for instance), I don't think either option will end up with a considerably higher final bid. eBay, however, gives you the advantage of administering the auction for you. Doing this yourself - especially if you have a lot of items up for grabs at the same time - can be a royal pain in the ass. Of course, eBay charges you a percentage for this service, but I consider it well worth it. On the other hand, some potential buyers have a problem with eBay (or online auction services in general), and may therefore pass on something that they may consider bidding on if you run the auction yourself. So... I guess it's really up to you. Do you want to pay a bit of your profit to avoid the hassle of running it yourself? Or will you do it yourself to avoid the accusations of being a profit-mongering eBastard? :) Greg -- Greg Clow - greg@stainedproductions.com - http://www.stainedproductions.com - feedback monitor - electronic & experimental radio/reviews/interviews - - http://www.stainedproductions.com/feedback/ - - Dead Voices On Air & Not Breathing - December 22nd - Reverb - Toronto - --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
