hey spacekittys...
ok, i think this should make sense...
--when i bought Quique by Seefeel, it had a quote on the cover from a review
that said that Quique mixed the sounds of MBV and Aphex Twin...
--the quote was like "a sublime blend of the two sounds" or something to
that effect...
--and anyone who has the seefeel cd or has heard it knows that this is a
pretty good description of the sound of the Quique cd...
--so now, the professor has found a bridge between IDM (aphex) and
MBV....the seefeel sound...
--and i will CONTINUE to discuss guitar stuff on the idm list as that's part
of what i'm doing in my project with Dr. Fluff...
--mixing guitar with IDM...and don't tell me not to mix guitar with
ambient...the guy who "invented" ambient is a guitarist...
--so, you can go complain to the better business bureau if you don't like
it...
--i doubt richard d. james or the autechre fellows ever went around asking
everyone if the stuff they were doing was "ok with everyone"
--i believe that's what it means to be a true artist...
Thanks...Prof. V
