Should I give this one more time? I had a quick listen to each CD and I wasn't overly impressed. I think I was expecting something a bit different to The Downward Spiral, but I didn't hear anything radical. Should I give it another go?

I spent *months* looking for my old copy of this, but just gave up. As soon as I ordered in a new copy, the old one turned up the next day. Humph! Here's looking forward to FSOL's new album, due for release "early 2000". It promises to be a psychedelic behemoth. Just added Squarepusher's "Selection Sixteen" to my pile today. Whoah, is it good. I don't know if this is old stuff tarted up, or if Jenkinson's got bored of his Hancock-style acoustic noodlings (although there are a few snippets here) and returned to his sequenced synthesis, but it's great stuff. Lots of gorgeous melodies in places, such as "Tomorrow World", which manages to out-BOC BOC, plus some frantic 303 action elsewhere. -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
