wow, I never knew anyone else had EVER heard of archive. I wholeheartedly
second the recommendation- best trip hop from the 'hot' era, 95-97 or so.
my only criticism is that it occasionally sounds like a portishead
variant. not derivative, mind you, but variant. the rapping adds a new
dimension, tho. very glad they're putting out something new...I still
can't find their first disc on CD.
oh, and to continue the 6 degrees action...karl from underworld plays bass
on a number of tracks, and i think helps produce a few. cheekily
referenced, i believe, by the sample of his vocals on 'skyscraper.'
