I remember reading an interview wtih Rob and Sean where they said something
to this effect...that Gescom was just the stuff they felt that they couldn't
release as Autechre. I took this to mean that they felt Gescom material was
too different from Autechre material to release under the Autechre name.
Personally, the main difference that I note between the two is that Gescom
lacks the more industrial tone that some Autechre truly excells in. Not
that I think of Autechre as having an industrial sound overall, I just think
of Gescom as being softer in some general way.
