I just heard this thing by Ekko on Interchill, called 'Centripetal.' You
could call it trance, I suppose... highly improvised, with tabla and this
funny droning bass-guitar-tamboura-harp thing called the stikharp. Maybe
not all that intellectually stimulating, but significantly more
interesting than a lot of trance because it has some improvisation on it.
You could call it 'jam trance' or 'ethno trance' or something like that, I
suppose.
