Well, maybe all electronic music lacks emotion, but IDM is one of the most
emotional and romantic electronic genres IMO. Actually, this is why I like
it so much :) I used to listen to lot of 80-s new wave / synth pop and I
find the same neo romantic aura in many IDM records. Bochum Welt,
d'Arcangelo, Mat-101, Arovane, Orbital (at least 'In Sides') have the same
emotional feel. What this music really lacks is some sexual energy, but
it can be found in funkier examples of IDM (maybe jake slazenger...)
