I'd say it's also a bit photek-y. Very sharp drums, but less minimal and better on a dancefloor. It's actually quite varied - as well as the dancefloor tracks it's got some stealthy numbers, some chilled out, some funky, some techsteppish, a couple aren't even d&b at all. I like it 'cos it's really distinctive, which seems to be quite a rarity in d&b these days - everything's either really samey or 2 hours long (or, even worse, both). Who cares how good the production is? Give me some lo-fi track with some original ideas over all the formulaic well-produced d&b any day. Dan Shoebridge. np: David Holmes - Let's get killed.
