Console is Martin Gretschmann, from the very impressive Notwist (did anyone in Europe catch them opening for Stereolab last tour?...curious about their live sound). Anyway, I cannot recommend the Shrink LP (on Zero Hour) enough! a perfect blending --elements of indie, jazz, synth loops, etc (this usually doesn't work, but here, oh yeah...check the production too) -----

I'd say Kenric Mcdowell (aka JVKM) is the best of the 'drum and bliss' genre...what you could hear playing at the local hipster underground coffeehouse. i could see getting chicks by djing this. Pleasant and chill are the key words here Check the Taking Care of You LP or the Teledesic Disco 1 & 2 EPs Darla (outta SF) has a lot to offer tho--check out their extensive website www.darla.com ----- anyone heard the latest Gonzales LP (on Kitty-Yo)? ...last I heard was the OP Original Prankster EP. ----- oh btw about Ae Coachella--Urb Magazine will be launching a full time label and among its releases this year will be a few from the Coachella event, split by genre, with one being "Experimental" I suppose--don't quote me on that--but the point is ae tracks are supposed to be on it. going to see Panacea next week @ Spaceland...should be pretty "fun" :) -andrew w. atw2000@worldnet.att.net NP: Tusken Raiders 'motor bike' --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
