So ::: what's up with Mixmaster Morris?
He seems to feel the need to motormouth all over his latest release.
WHY?
Such a a pity, because the actual *music* is really nice, but he
talks nu-age hippie pop-psychology twaddle all over the top -
"You, yes YOU, are the energy of the world"
(from Fish Dances)
Is this really necessary? The lyrical content imposes a line of
thought or vision all over my private journey through the
soundscape and crowds my headspace. I wish I could filter it out
and just allow my mind to wander, without being pulled back
verbally. Also it limits itself linguistically, rather than allow the
music to stand on its own and flow freely.
"This universe that we live in
is only a speck of dust
and all the specks of dust
in this universe that we know
contain minute universes
forever and ever ... "
Pass the glowsticks ...
