I'm actually in the process of doing this very thing. Since I don't know what you have, I'll tell you what I am reccomending to my friend, who is a *true* newbie (Sorry Jim, but you are. :) ) : Autechre : Amber Aphex Twin : Selected Ambient Works II WARP : Artificial Intelligence I WARP : Artificial Intelligence II Speedy J : Public Energy #1 Plastikman : Consumed Seefeel : Quique These were based on what were mostly my introduction to IDM, and things which I enjoy most thouroughly. I can't guess as to whether these are all things you already have, or not. I consider them all to be excellent albums, and they are all widely available. I would also keep in mind when reading this list that a HUGE amount of the stuff discussed is not easily obtained, and not very common.
