Jez Varley is now doing g-man; "quo vardis" was a big hit with a Chain Reaction/Detroit minimal flavor to it; released on ~swim in 1995 I believe. Supposed Colin Newman and Malka Spiegel asked Jez to spin off the g-man stuff into a ~swim sub-label; again, more minimal sounding stuff but it does sound good and IDM-ish. Mark Bell was responsible for Clark on Planet E from 1995 or 1996; he also did 2 solo EPs on R&S, and that's all I am aware of. I still think LFO's best work was from 1990-1992, but "advance" has its moments. +odd -- Todd Sines film * audio * design http://www.corefilm.com
