Yeah, but it wasn't called IDM back then, SO THERE! ;) Seriously, though, which releases from that bygone era (pre-little-fluffy-clouds) would you recommend most? I don't think there's been a discussion like this on the list for a while, so I'm starting one up again. Audience participation is strongly encouraged. Just try to place an emphasis on stuff I can actually FIND nowadays without having to take out a loan. You can respond privately if you want, but I imagine there are a lot of other people out there who would love to have been into the scene back then, only they had not yet reached the age of reason. So, for them, please post to the list. Do it for the children.
