Rather than make it a mailing list, doing it up as a proper database application would be something I'd be willing to host at hyperreal. Know what I mean? You could even make it cool and allow folks to be notified whenever a new, say, autechre release was posted for sale. You could do the same thing but in reverse for want lists as well, and then plug the two together. :) Anyways, we have Perl 5 and MySQL (+ P5 libraries) installed on Hyperreal.
