when I saw DVOA perform in Youngstown, OH (I was one of maybe 5 who
attended; the show got zero publicity), their set was all over the place.
they performed quite a bit of download-ish material, some of which was
actually download material remixed. think stanley pain's crazier techno
sounds, only really, really, really loud. the lineup included collaborations
with not breathing and one of the members of download (not cEvin key) whose
name I can't recall. he was a nice guy.
in any case, entertain the possibility of DVOA sounding somewhat like
download at times if you see them, regardless of whether or not it's a
genuine reunion per se.
