I believe this is a banned substance in the US since it is
carcinogenic - but I've always whipped sticky gummy goo off in a
flash with Benzene on a ball of cotton wool. I have even removed
unknown substanced off the surface of a disc (CD) with it. NEVER
use it with vinyl though.
There's a difference between Benz*i*ne and Benz*e*ne. The one has
more dangerous volative fumes than the other - dunno, go ask around.
