Just picked up ATR's "Burn, Berlin, Burn!" What a pile of rubbish. I am
listening to this so-called "Hardcore" and I am laughing. I'm not getting
pissed, I'm laughing so hard because they think they are Hardcore. God,
everything sounds like an 808 through heavy distortion, with some anime
samples. And lyrics like "Come on, You stupid pig! Get the Fuck
away!!!!!!!!!!" and I am not mistyping they actually put that many
exclamation marks after everything. Why is this band so popular with the
kiddies?
Here's how you make an Atari Teenage Riot song:
1. Put a 4/4 bass drum loop into your 808. Put some 1/4 cybal crashes.
2. Set your tempo at 300 BPM
3. Hook your 808 through a distortion pedal.
4. Yell something like "Go!"...."Fuck it!"...."Government!"...
Hell just get the Rebirth 338 demo and insert lyrics. Any disagreements?
