domestic us release cd for $8. basically if you like the tobin
drum'n'(deep, sweet)bass style of bricolage, and associated eps (chomp
samba, mission, creatures) then you won't be going far wrong w/ piranha
breaks. if there are any differences maybe there's a more metallic edge to
the percussion, and the latin influence - shades of flamenco guitar
stylings, steel beats, tom toms - is moving more to the fore on this
release. as always elegant complex percussion, hallucinatory deep bass
squiggles, and smoky jazz edging slightly into free skronk. 4 trks about
26mins, recommended.
