I remember the Bosnia threads, the Persian Gulf threads, the Haider
threads, the etc etc threads that have cluttered this list in the
past.
While the imminent death of the NEA is certainly important, why has
it been posted to this list? Especially a petition post?
Am I alone here?

On NPR's Morning Edition, Nina Totenberg reported that
if the Supreme Court supports Congress to cut the budget of
the National Endowment of the Arts, it is in effect the end of NEA.
