i think this is to circumvent the bpi rulings on 12 inch singles - ie they
allow a certain amount of original tracks on a 12 before it is classed as an
lp, but you are allowed more tracks if they are called 'remixes' - in
reality, these mixes have nothing at all to do with each other, it was the
same on girl/boy
